My Questions about Bandaging & Dressing and Signs & Symptoms of Illnesses & Diseases


1. What is a FIGURE EIGHT?

- A roller bandage is applied starting below the wound and progressing up and encircling the limb in a figure of "8" pattern.

2. When do we use STRETCHED PLASTER?

- This is used to cover large dressing for support.

3. What is BANDAGING?

- Bandaging is another home treatment a home nurse or a caregiver should administrate to a patient.

4-5. Give a guidelines that should be observe when covering an injured part's of the patient?

- Let the patient si comfortably and support the injured part of the body.

- The bandage must be applied evenly and firmly. It should not be too tight so as not to affect blood circulation.

1.  If you are a good home nurse, what are the various home nursing techniques that you need to apply that will make the patient feel comfortable and speed up the recovery?
  
For me, I need to keep thee patient's room clean and tidy at all times for a relaxed atmosphere that will benefit not only the patient but also the other members of the family even the visitors of the patient.

2.  Why should the home nurse monitor the vital signs of the patient?

To know if the patient is feeling so much pain. To know that what's the patient is going through his/her body.
  
3. How do you take the body temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure of the patient?


4.  What are some practices that the home nurse must follow that will
           promote comfort to the patient?

They need to be Understanding,  Cheerful, Attentive, and Knowledge on keeping record. 

 
5.  How will you differentiate signs from symptoms of illnesses and
           diseases?


6.  If you are the doctor, what will be your basis in giving the diagnosis for your patient?

I will give the right medicine to the patient, give them a rest to have a speedy recovery

We need to give the Medicine to the patient in the right time. We need to properly administrate and stores the medicine. We must assure the patient is full support and understanding by maintaining a cheerful disposition.

The Bed of the patient must be clean and properly in order so that they can be comfortable. We need to feed the patient properly and we need to plan, preparing and serving nutrition meals for the patient.

Keep the patient's room clean and tidy at all times for a relaxed atmosphere that will benefit not only the patient but also the other members of the family and even the visitors of the patient. Properly hygiene should be observed at all times to avoid infection and to ensure speedy recovery of the patient, Also we need to be responsible giving the medicine to the patient so that they will be in a good condition.

Home Nursing promotes close family ties caring for the sick is done cooperatively by all members of the family. It provides training in proper care of the sick, It helps the members of the family understand the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Home nursing is less expensive than the hospital care.
